The ScaleEdges connector lets the AI assistant you already use (Claude, ChatGPT, or any app that supports MCP connectors) work directly with your store. Ask it “What did I sell this week?”, “Create a 20% code for my ebook” or “Rewrite my FAQ page”, and it reads or updates your store for you.
Your assistant does the thinking with your own Claude or ChatGPT subscription. ScaleEdges only gives it secure access to your store, after you allow it.
What your assistant can do
Read (always included):
- your store profile, currency and key figures: products, orders, net revenue, customers, subscribers;
- your products, with their description, variants, sales and revenue, and the content buyers receive after purchase;
- your recent orders and your customers;
- your discount codes, automatic sales, upsells and checkout questions;
- your website draft: pages, blocks and themes.
Make changes (only if you allow it):
- create product drafts, and change titles, prices, descriptions and variants;
- write the content buyers receive (thank-you message, instructions, lessons), page by page — your files, images and videos stay in place;
- publish or unpublish a product;
- create and edit discount codes, upsells and checkout questions;
- rename your store;
- create website pages, edit page blocks and themes;
- mark physical orders as shipped.
For your safety, the assistant cannot delete products, discounts or customers, and cannot refund orders. New products are created as unpublished drafts, and website changes only go to your website draft: nothing appears on your live site until you publish it from the website builder.
Plans and daily limits
Reading your store is unlimited on every plan. Changes are counted per store and per day:

The counter resets every day at midnight UTC. You can see how many changes you used today in Settings → Developer API.
Your connector address
Every assistant asks for the same address:

Connect Claude
- In Claude, open Settings → Connectors.
- Select Add custom connector.
- Name it ScaleEdges and paste the connector address.
- Select Connect. A ScaleEdges page opens; sign in if needed.
- Check the store name, choose whether Claude may make changes, then select Allow access.
The connector is then available in your Claude conversations, on the web and in the Claude desktop and mobile apps.
Claude Code: run claude mcp add --transport http scaleedges https://mcp.scaleedges.com/mcp, then type /mcp in Claude Code and choose Authenticate to open the same ScaleEdges page.
Connect ChatGPT
- In ChatGPT, open Settings → Apps & Connectors.
- Create a new custom connector (depending on your ChatGPT plan, this can require turning on Developer mode in the advanced settings).
- Name it ScaleEdges, paste the connector address and choose OAuth authentication.
- Sign in to ScaleEdges if asked, choose whether ChatGPT may make changes, then select Allow access.
Other AI apps
Any app that supports remote MCP servers with OAuth can connect with the same address: add a remote (HTTP) MCP server, paste the address, and allow access on the ScaleEdges page that opens.

Before it changes prices, publishes a product or edits several items, a well-behaved assistant summarises the change and asks you to confirm. Read that summary carefully. Every change is reported with a link to the right page of your dashboard.
Who can connect an assistant
Only the store owner can connect an assistant, from their own account. If you manage several stores, switch to the right store in ScaleEdges before you select Allow access: the connection applies to the store that is active at that moment.
Disconnect an assistant
- Open Settings → Developer API.
- In the Connect Claude or ChatGPT card, find the assistant under Connected assistants.
- Select Disconnect.
The assistant loses access immediately. You can also remove the connector in Claude or ChatGPT, but disconnecting it in ScaleEdges is what revokes its access.
Troubleshooting
The assistant says it cannot make changes. You allowed read access only. Disconnect it in ScaleEdges, then connect it again and keep Make changes checked.
“The daily limit of AI edits is reached.” Your store used all the changes included in your plan today. Reading still works, and the counter resets at midnight UTC. A higher plan raises the limit.
“Only the store owner can connect an AI assistant.” You are signed in as a team member of this store. Ask the owner to connect it, or switch to your own store.
The connection page shows an error. Start the connection again from your assistant: connection links expire after a few minutes and cannot be reused.
