To publish a blog post in ScaleEdges, open Communication → Blog, select New article, choose the blog and a title, then write your article in the editor and select Publish. Before publishing, add a cover image with alt text, tags and SEO settings so the article can be found by search engines and AI assistants. You need a blog first: see How to create a blog on your ScaleEdges store.
How do you create a new blog post?
- Open Communication → Blog.
- Select New article.
- Choose the Blog where the article will appear.
- Enter the Article title. Phrase it the way your readers search, for example
How to Color Grade a Podcast Video in DaVinci Resolve. - Optionally, choose a Page theme and an Article block theme.
- Select Open editor.
The article is created as a draft. Nothing is visible to your visitors until you publish it.
How do you write the article in the editor?
The editor page has four areas:
- the main column: the Article title and the Article body, written in a rich editor where you can add headings, lists, images, embeds and themed buttons;
- the Advanced card below the article, with four tabs: Publishing, SEO, Social share and Design & advanced;
- the side panel: the cover image, the blog and the tags;
- the top bar: Save draft and Publish (or Update once the article is live).
Select Save draft regularly while you write.
Can Lumia AI write the first draft for you?
Yes. On the Mover, Shaker and Enterprise plans, Lumia AI can write a complete first draft:
- Select Write with Lumia in Communication → Blog, or Write with AI at the top of the editor.
- Describe the article in the Article brief: the topic, the audience, the key points and the tone.
- In the advanced options, choose what Lumia should also fill in: Title & URL, Tags, SEO and Social share.
- Select Generate article.
Lumia writes in the editor. Nothing is published until you decide: always reread the draft, add your own examples and experience, and correct anything inaccurate before publishing.
How do you structure a blog post for SEO and AI search?
Search engines and AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity favor articles that answer a question clearly. Follow these rules:
- Answer the main question in the first two sentences. A reader, or an AI model, should get the answer without scrolling.
- Use question headings, such as "How do I export a video for Instagram?", rather than vague labels like "Export".
- Keep paragraphs short, two or three lines, and use numbered lists for steps.
- Add original material: your own screenshots, results, examples and opinions. Firsthand content is cited more often than rewritten content.
- Link to your products where they genuinely help the reader, and to your other articles on the same topic.
- End with a short FAQ that answers the follow-up questions your customers ask.
The complete method is in How to optimize your store's content for AI search engines.
How do you add a cover image, tags and alt text?
In the side panel:
- Under Cover & social image, select Choose image and pick an image from your image gallery. This image appears at the top of the article and when it is shared on social networks.
- Fill in Image ALT text: describe what the image shows, for example
DaVinci Resolve color wheels applied to a podcast recording. Alt text helps visually impaired readers, image search and AI assistants. - Check the Blog the article belongs to.
- Add Tags that describe the topics of the article, such as
color gradingorpodcast.
Add alt text to every image inside the article as well.
How do you set the SEO and social sharing details?
In the Advanced card:
- Open the SEO tab.
- Check the Article URL. Keep it short and descriptive, with your main keyword, for example
color-grade-podcast-davinci-resolve. - Write the SEO title, around 50 to 60 characters, with the main keyword near the beginning.
- Write the SEO description, around 150 to 160 characters, that summarizes what the reader will learn.
- Open the Social share tab and fill in the Social share title and Social share description shown on social networks.
How do you publish, schedule or restrict an article?
Open the Publishing tab and choose the Visibility:
| Visibility | Who can read the article |
|---|---|
| Public — listed on the blog | Everyone. The article appears on the blog page. |
| Unlisted — link only | Anyone with the link. It does not appear on the blog page. |
| Private — only you by default | Only your seller account, unless you check Share privately with selected customer accounts and enter their email addresses. Those readers must sign in to your store. |

| Scheduled publication | Everyone, from the Publication date and time you choose, in your store's time zone. |
For customer-only and subscriber-only articles, access is checked on the server every time the article is opened, so the content stays protected. This is a good way to offer bonus tutorials to your buyers.
When everything is ready, select Publish. After publication, the button becomes Update: select it to apply your later changes.
How do you customize the article design?
Open the Design & advanced tab to:
- choose the Page theme and the Article block theme;

- select Choose recommended articles manually to pick the articles suggested at the end of this one.
Frequently asked questions about ScaleEdges blog posts
How often should I publish?
Consistency matters more than volume. One useful article every one or two weeks is a good rhythm for a small store. Your dashboard reminds you when you have not published a new article for a while.
Can I edit an article after publishing it?
Yes. Open it from the Articles list in Communication → Blog, select Edit, make your changes and select Update. Updating useful articles regularly also helps search engines see that the content is current.
Can I move an article to another blog?
Yes. Change the Blog in the side panel of the editor, then save or update the article.
How do I delete an article?
Open the article and select Delete article at the bottom of the side panel. This cannot be undone.
Why is my article not visible on the blog page?
Check its visibility. Only Public articles, and Scheduled articles once their date has passed, appear on the blog page. Unlisted, private and customer-only articles are reachable only through their link.
