How to create a blog on your ScaleEdges store

You can add a blog to your ScaleEdges store in two steps: open Communication → Blog, select Create a blog, name it, then choose the default layout of its articles. The blog is hosted on your store, at your own URL, and it is included in every plan. You can create several blogs, for example one for tutorials and one for product news.

Why add a blog to your store?

A blog brings visitors to your store through search engines and AI assistants, then turns them into buyers. It is one of the most effective ways to grow a digital products business without paid advertising.

A blog on your ScaleEdges store helps you:

• rank on search engines for the questions your customers ask before buying;
• get cited by AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Perplexity, which favor clear, original content;
• build trust by showing your expertise, your process and real examples;
• keep readers on your store, one click away from your products, instead of on a third-party platform.

How do you create a blog in ScaleEdges?

1. Open Communication → Blog in your dashboard.
2. Select Create a blog. If you already have a blog, select New blog in the Your blogs card.
3. Enter the Blog name, for example Tutorials or Journal.
4. Check the Blog URL. ScaleEdges fills it in from the name; you can change it. Keep it short, lowercase and descriptive, such as tutorials.
5. Select Next.
6. Choose the article layout, which is the default for every new article of this blog:

• Cover, title & details: the cover image first, then the title, tags and reading time;
• Title, cover & details: a strong title first, then the cover image and article details;
• Cover, details & title;
• Title, details & cover.

1. Select Create blog.

Your blog now appears in Your blogs, with its public address, its number of articles and the number of published ones.

Where is your blog published?

Your blog is published at the URL you chose, on your store address:

• on the ScaleEdges domain: scaleedges.com/c/your-store/tutorials;
• on your custom domain, if you connected one: yourdomain.com/tutorials.

Select the address shown under the blog name in Your blogs to open it. The blog page lists only its published public articles: drafts, unlisted, private and scheduled articles do not appear in the list.

How do you optimize your blog for search engines and social media?

Each blog has its own SEO and sharing settings. When they are empty, ScaleEdges uses the blog name.

1. In Your blogs, select the gear icon (Blog settings) next to your blog.
2. Review the name, URL and layout, then select Next twice.
3. In Search engines & sharing, fill in:

• Browser tab title (page title): the title shown in search results, for example Video Editing Tutorials for Podcasters | Your Store;
• Description SEO: one or two sentences that describe what readers will learn;
• Share title and Share description: the text shown when the blog is shared on social networks.

1. Select Save changes.

How do you design your blog page?

Select Design next to your blog in Your blogs. The Website Builder opens directly on your blog page, where you can adjust its appearance to match the rest of your store. You can also change the SEO settings from there.

How do you add your blog to your store menu?

Visitors will find your blog more easily if it is in your navigation:

1. Open the Website Builder.
2. Select your store header.
3. Open Navigation links and add a link.
4. Enter the Text, for example Blog, and the URL of your blog, for example /tutorials.
5. Save and publish your site.

Frequently asked questions about ScaleEdges blogs

Is the blog included in the free plan?

Yes. The blog is included in every ScaleEdges plan, including Starter. Writing articles with Lumia AI requires the Mover, Shaker or Enterprise plan.

Can I have several blogs on one store?

Yes. Create as many blogs as you need, each with its own name, URL, layout and SEO settings. When you write an article, you choose the blog where it appears.

Can I change the blog URL later?

Yes, from the gear icon next to the blog. Links already shared with the old URL will no longer point to the blog, so choose a stable URL from the start when possible.

Can a teammate manage the blog?
