The website builder lets you design every page of your store without code. Open it from Website Builder, select Add a block to build the page, customize each block on the right, choose a theme, then select Publish. Your changes stay in a draft until you publish them, so you can work on your store without visitors seeing unfinished pages.
How the builder is organized
The builder shows a live preview of the page in the center and a side panel with the settings. The top bar contains:
- Pages: switch between your pages or create a new one.
- Gallery: your images and media.
- Themes: colors, fonts and button styles.
- Settings: options that apply to the page or the whole site.
- Create with Lumia AI: build or edit the page by describing what you want (Mover, Shaker and Enterprise plans).
- the Desktop preview and Phone preview buttons;
- View store, Save and Publish.
The undo and redo buttons (Ctrl+Z and Ctrl+Shift+Z) let you go back if a change does not suit you.
Add and arrange blocks
A page is a stack of blocks. Select Add a block and choose one from its category:

Select a block in the preview to edit it in the side panel. Most blocks have several tabs: Content for texts, links and images, Design for colors, spacing and width, and Advanced for finer options such as animations.
Drag blocks to reorder them. When a block is ready, you can save it as a favorite and find it again in the My favorites tab of the Add a block dialog.
A structure that works for a first homepage
- Banner (hero): a clear promise and a button to your main product.
- Featured product or Product list: what you sell, with prices.
- Testimonials: proof from buyers.
- About me: who you are and why buyers can trust you.
- FAQ: answers to the questions that stop people from buying.
- Email signup: keep in touch with visitors who are not ready to buy.
Apply a theme
Open Themes. You can start from one of the 5 preset themes, then select Customize to change its colors, fonts and button animation. Your versions appear in My custom themes.
Each block uses a theme, which you can choose in its settings. Editing a theme updates every block that uses it: colors, fonts and button animations. Apply to all applies a theme to every block of your site, on all pages, including the header and footer.
Create pages
Open Pages to see your Site pages and Special pages:
- Site pages are the pages you create, such as About, Contact or a landing page. Select New page, then set its Title, URL & SEO.
- Special pages are built into your store: the cart drawer, the checkout, the customer login and account, the customer library, the purchased content page and your 404 page. Your product, collection and blog pages are listed in the page selector too.
Add your pages to the menu in the Header block, under Navigation links.
Describe your images
Every image in the preview has a gear icon. Select it to write the image's alt text: a short description read by screen readers and used by search engines. Background images have their own gear.
On Mover, Shaker and Enterprise plans, Generate with Lumia proposes an alt text for images uploaded to your store. It is written in your store's language, and you can edit it before selecting OK.
Preview on phone and desktop
Most visitors browse on a phone. Switch to Phone preview before publishing, and check that texts stay readable, that buttons are easy to tap and that images are not cropped in the wrong place. Select View store to open the live store in a new tab.
Save, publish or schedule
- Save stores a draft. The status shows Draft saved ✓ (remember to publish): visitors still see the previous version.
- Publish makes your changes live immediately.
- To publish at a later date, select the arrow next to Publish (Schedule publishing), choose the Publication date and time, then select Schedule publication. Cancel scheduling stops it.
