How to create a product bundle in ScaleEdges

Sell several of your digital products together at one price, with bundle versions and rules for reviews, upsells and newsletters.

Illustrated overview of creating a product bundle in ScaleEdges, showing bundled items, pricing, and customizable settings.

A bundle sells several of your existing digital products together, usually for less than their total price. After purchase, the buyer receives each included product in their library, exactly as if they had bought it separately.

Bundles make an offer easier to understand and increase the average order value: Complete design kit is more attractive than five separate purchases.

Before you start

You need at least two digital products in your store. Until then, the Bundle type shows 2 products required.

Only digital products can be included. Subscriptions, coaching products and other bundles cannot be part of a bundle.

Create a bundle

  1. Open Products → New product.
  2. Under Choose product type, select Bundle and select Continue.
  3. Enter a title and, optionally, a cover image.
  4. In the Presentation tab, write a description and set the bundle Price.

If you start creating a digital product with a title such as Complete pack, ScaleEdges may suggest Turn into a bundle.

Choose the included products

  1. Open the Content tab. It shows Products delivered after purchase instead of the usual page editor.
  2. Select at least two products.
  3. For a product that has versions, choose the exact version to include.
  4. Publish the bundle.

The counter at the top shows how many products are selected. A bundle cannot contain text pages or files of its own: its content comes entirely from the included products.

Tell buyers what they get. In the description, list the included products and, if relevant, how much they save compared with buying each product separately.

Create bundle versions

With Create multiple versions in the Presentation tab, you can sell several bundle tiers, for example Starter with three products and Complete with six.

Each version has its own name, price and composition. In the Content tab, use Composition for to choose the version you are editing, then select its products. Every version must contain at least two products.

Set the bundle rules

Open Advanced options — Bundle rules below the Content tab. The bundle always keeps its own reviews and newsletter groups. These options decide what also carries over from the included products:

  • Keep included-product upsells: upsells unlocked by an included product also become available to bundle buyers;
  • Allow separate product reviews: buyers can review the bundle and every included product. It is enabled by default;
  • Join included-product newsletters: buyers are also added to the newsletter groups configured on each included product.

What buyers receive

After purchase, every included product appears in the buyer's library with its own content and downloads. Download limits and license keys work as they do on each product.

The composition is saved with each order. If you later change the products in a bundle, existing buyers keep what they bought, and new buyers receive the new composition.

If an included product is scheduled for a future release, the buyer receives it as a pre-order and gets access on release day.

Good practices

  • Price the bundle clearly below the sum of its products, and show the saving.
  • Use a dedicated cover that shows the bundle as a set.
  • Promote the bundle with a sale, or suggest it in the cart with cross-selling.
